Sherry Epp, who happens to be married to Dr. Epp, serves as bookkeeper and something of a business manager for the animal hospital, a position she has held since about 1997.
Back in the very early years of owning the practice, before the kids came along, (and before computers!) Sherry worked with Dr. Epp in the business, and did whatever was needed: receptionist, exam room assistant, surgery and treatment assistant, kennel worker, etc. When the kids were born, and as the practice grew, Sherry put her energies to family and other work until 1997 when she began her “career” as clinic bookkeeper.
Sherry and Dr. Epp have two children: Leslie and her husband, Justin, live in Topeka, KS. She is an electrical engineer and works for Caterpillar in Wamego as a Revenue Analyst. Nathan and his wife, Cynthia, live in Warrensburg, MO and are the owner's of Three Trees Workshop (www.threetreesworkshop.com) Nathan & Cynthia have two daughters who Sherry and Dr. Epp adore!
Through the years, Sherry has been an educator in the public school system as well as for ICC, has been a trainer and seminar leader, has been on the staff of the Methodist church working in adult and youth ministry; has worked in Congregational Conflict Management, has been a foster parent together with Dr. Epp, has served on the school board for 16 years, and has done a wide variety of other volunteer work in the community and church, serving through the years on numerous committees and boards, as well as being a member of several organizations.
In her free time, Sherry enjoys working outside developing and maintaining the yard as well as a 5-acre “horse pasture” that is now well-kept green space; quilting; crocheting; reading; walking; traveling when there is opportunity; having lunch with friends; and spending time with family.
